It's such a heavy weight to think about how drugs can completely take over lives and lead to such tragic outcomes. Charles Bussell's death is a stark reminder of that. No one deserves to have their life cut short in such a terrible way. The fact that both families are now left to grapple with this—Charles’s loved ones mourning his absence and McGeorge’s family dealing with the repercussions of his actions—makes this situation all the more devastating. I can't help but think about the stretch of State Highway 63 near Ausmus Lane. It's just a road, but now it carries such a dark memory. I hope this case serves as a wake-up call about the rampant drug culture in our communities. If nothing else, maybe it can push someone at risk to change their path or motivate us as a community to look for better ways to combat this issue. Sending strength to all affected by this horrible event.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Charles R. Bussell and Jacob McGeorge, and one thing that’s been really on my mind is the aftermath for Bussell’s family. It’s just so difficult to even imagine what they’ve been through since that day in November 2019. Losing someone so suddenly and violently is unfathomable. I keep wondering if there’s been any support for them, whether from the community or organizations that help families dealing with such tragedies. It’s crucial they have the right resources to navigate through the immense grief and trauma. Does anyone know if there’s been a GoFundMe or any other efforts to help them out? It’d be great to rally support if there hasn't been any yet. Families shouldn't have to cope with these losses alone.
