I’ve been following Terry Smith’s case since it happened, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s distressing to hear how someone with so much life ahead of them could have it all taken away in an instant. Terry’s story is an all-too-common reminder of the impact of violence on innocent lives. What stands out in this case is how the intended target wasn’t even Terry, and this makes you think about how many lives have been shattered simply because someone was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s infuriating knowing that Xavier Holloway Jr. is still out there, but I hope the Midtown Hills detectives are doing everything they can to track him down and bring justice to Terry’s family. Sending thoughts to all those who knew and loved Terry during this difficult time—hoping for a breakthrough soon and that Holloway is found and held accountable for his actions.
