I’ve been following the case of Deveric “Dreadz” Renfro, and my thoughts keep coming back to the courage his mother, Tameca Patton, has shown throughout this ordeal. I can’t even begin to comprehend the pain she’s facing, yet her determination to keep her son’s memory alive and seek justice is unwavering. It’s incredibly inspiring to see the community come together in support of her efforts with events and raising awareness. I wonder how much pressure like that impacts an investigation—does it make authorities more driven, or can it become overwhelming and problematic at times? Regardless, I truly hope all this effort pays off, and they find the answers they need to bring some peace to his family. It’s so difficult to watch a loved one’s case remain unresolved, especially when they were taken so violently. Anyone else have thoughts on how community involvement can aid—or potentially hinder—cases like this?

I'm thinking about the aspect of the case where there could have been noticeable activity in the neighborhood around the time of the tragedy. Has anyone from the Columbia area noticed anything unusual that morning or perhaps remembered something specific about the days leading up to March 1, 2020? It's haunting to think that someone in the area might have seen something important but hasn't yet come forward. Dee's family, especially his mom, Tameca, deserves to know what happened to their cherished son and friend. It would be wonderful if any information, even something seemingly insignificant, could be shared to help bring some clarity and justice. Being part of a small community means that pulling together and helping in any way we can is crucial. Many thanks to everyone doing their best to support Dee's loved ones.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of the community in solving cold cases like Deveric “Dreadz” Keonta Renfro’s. It’s so important to keep the dialogue open and ongoing, especially in a close-knit place like Columbia. Every little piece of information or memory of that day might help in finding justice for Dee. The fact that he was doing something so ordinary—just spending time at home—when this senseless violence occurred is unsettling. It makes me hug my family a little tighter. I hope the community can rally around his family and continue supporting them through this painful time. Anyone with even the slightest piece of info should most definitely come forward. We owe it to Dee and his family to seek out the truth. ? Sending strength and hope their way.
