I was digging through some of the older cases in the area and came across Andres Tapia's disappearance. One thing that struck me was the lack of surveillance footage from when he went missing. Miami is a big city with lots of cameras, so I'm curious if there were any technical issues back then or maybe surveillance wasn't as widespread in 2008? It's always puzzling when someone vanishes without a single trace in a populous area. I've read that sometimes small businesses or locals might have personal footage that doesn't always make it into police investigations. Has anyone heard if authorities re-checked potential private sources of video from that time? It could be a long shot now, but you never know what might still be out there.
Does anyone know if there have been any private investigations into Andres Tapia's disappearance? It's one of those cases that just seems to hit a wall every time. With so few updates from the official channels, I can't help but wonder if his family or friends ever hired a PI to take a fresh look at things. Sometimes, private investigators can access resources or make connections that law enforcement can't due to red tape or resource limitations. If anyone has more information or thoughts about this, it would be great to discuss. Cases like this often seem to stall without new leads, and any outside effort might be worth exploring.
