I've been following the case of Courtney Anderson, and I just can't stop thinking about the heroic life he led before his tragic death. Being part of the Memphis Fire Department since 2015, it seems like he really poured his heart and soul into his work. This makes his murder all the more senseless and devastating. It must be so incredibly difficult for his fellow firefighters, who've no doubt become a second family, to carry on with their duties knowing that one of their own was taken in such a violent way. The strength they must have to continue their service with this on their minds is beyond commendable. The incident underscores just how vulnerable those who serve to protect us can be, even when they're off-duty. I hope that the investigation brings closure to all those affected and that justice will be served for Courtney’s family and colleagues. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him.
