I just wanted to share some thoughts on the last home game Fredorikus Perry played for Bolivar Central High School. I remember watching him on the field that night; you could tell how passionate he was about the game and how he connected with his teammates. The way he moved, you just knew he was destined for great things. It’s so hard to reconcile the vibrant young athlete we saw with the tragedy that followed. For those who knew him, Fredorikus wasn't just talented, he was genuinely kind and had such a bright future ahead. The shockwaves from this horrible incident have not only affected his family and friends but also his teammates and coaches who saw him as part of their sports family. Seeing the tributes from his classmates and hearing stories about his dedication in both sports and academics make it clear that Fredorikus left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. My thoughts are with his family and friends, hoping they find some peace in knowing the community stands with them during such a tough time.
