I can't stop thinking about KaVeon's friend who was walking with him at the time of the shooting. It must be incredibly tough for them, carrying the weight of that moment. Being so young and experiencing such trauma is unimaginable. I truly hope they are receiving the support and counseling they need to process everything they witnessed. This just highlights how gun violence affects more than just the immediate victim – it ripples through the lives of everyone connected to them. Has anyone in the community mentioned initiatives or support systems in place for witnesses and friends of victims? It’s essential we don't overlook their trauma while we seek justice for KaVeon.
