Has anyone considered the possibility that Maliah might have been in contact with someone online before she left the Denver Children’s Home? It’s been known for predators to lure vulnerable teens over social media or chat apps. With Maliah mentioning she was taken to New York, it makes me think someone might have targeted her specifically. It could be worth looking into her online activity if her accounts can be accessed. Could also help determine if she knew anyone there beforehand or if she had expressed any intention of going to New York. Thoughts?

I can't stop thinking about that call Maliah's family received. One thing that's really puzzling me is how she managed to contact them if she was being held against her will. Did she have someone's phone briefly or was she being allowed to make that call? Also, the fact that it came from a blocked number... could it mean she found a way to hide the number, or did her captor dial for her? I'm sure law enforcement is looking into phone records, but wow, what a chilling detail. I hope the police are investigating this lead as it might offer some clues if there are similar reports of anonymous calls in that area. Anyone have thoughts or insights on how something like this could happen in terms of technology or her possible location in NY?
