I've been following the Derrick Blackburn case and something that keeps coming up is how chaotic the scene must have been given the timing. Being Black Friday, the mall was likely filled with shoppers looking for deals, and I can't imagine the panic and confusion that ensued during the shooting. Witnesses must have had a difficult time processing everything that happened so quickly. My heart goes out to everyone who was there that night and, of course, Derrick's family who are left trying to piece together what led to this tragic loss. It must be incredibly frustrating for them not knowing the motive behind what happened. I hope that as more evidence is gathered, they can find some peace and understanding. If anyone's local and remembers being there that night and seeing something, even if it seems small, it's so important to reach out to the authorities. Every little bit helps in these investigations.
