Hey everyone, I came across something puzzling about the trial of Paul L. Hayden, Jr. that I haven't seen discussed much here. I noticed that during the hearings, there seemed to be a lot of focus on Hayden's past criminal record from different states. While it's clear his record is extensive, it made me wonder how that will influence the jury's perception of him in this case. Does anybody know how prior convictions like those for robbery and rape might weigh in on a case involving homicide? It must be incredibly difficult for Maurice's family to go through this, especially knowing the kind of background Hayden has. My heart goes out to them as they navigate this difficult process. It seems like every layer of this case just adds to the stress and pain they're facing. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who has insights or who has followed similar cases.
