I’ve been following Chaka Sligh’s case since it happened, and I can’t stop thinking about the incredible strength her family and friends have shown during such a difficult time. I attended the vigil at Open Door Church and was really moved by all the stories people shared about her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to everyone's lives. It’s moments like those that truly highlight the irreplaceable loss felt by her loved ones. It's infuriating to see no arrests have been made yet. With gun violence being such a prevalent issue in Knoxville, you'd think there would be more urgency in resolving such cases. I can’t imagine what it’s like for her kids and family, waiting for answers and hoping for some form of justice. If anyone here has any information, even if it seems irrelevant, please reach out to the authorities. Sometimes it's these small details that can lead to a breakthrough. Stay strong, everyone. We will keep pushing for justice for Chaka.
