Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Leonard's case and something just doesn't sit right with me about his car being found near another Wal-Mart in Chelsea. It's only about 20 miles from the Sylacauga location where his mom last saw him, so why would he leave his car there? It's odd that it was locked and undisturbed with gas still in the tank. If he intended to meet someone or do something urgent, wouldn’t he have planned to drive there himself? The fact that everything was left as if he planned to come back but never did feels like a big clue that’s being overlooked. Anyone local know if that stretch of road gets much foot traffic, especially around the time he disappeared? Just trying to piece together his movements a bit more. Any thoughts?
Has anyone else thought about how Leonard's car was found near the Chelsea Wal-Mart, but locked and undisturbed? It just seems odd to me that the car wasn't tampered with at all if foul play was involved. It makes me wonder if someone he trusted might have been involved or if this was a planned disappearance on his part. The location of the car could have been left as a decoy. Also, the fact that it was close to a Wal-Mart, where he had ties through his mom, feels like it might mean something. Other cases have had similar patterns, and yet police found no evidence of foul play, which just baffles me. Could it be that the absence of any disturbance in the car is the real clue here? Thoughts?
I've been thinking about the call Leonard made on February 5th. It's puzzling because that was the last known contact after he was seen at Wal-Mart. Does anyone know who he spoke to or if there's any info about that conversation? Seems like if we had more details about who he contacted, it might shed some light on what happened. It's strange that this piece is still such a mystery after all this time. Maybe someone out there remembers something or has new information that could help.
