I'm struck by the fact that Jay Evans Farr's canoe and dinghy ended up miles away in Antrim County. It's really puzzling how the winds and currents could have carried them so far, but with no sign of Jay himself. I wonder if anyone familiar with boating in Northport Bay could shed some light on how those conditions typically affect small boats. It's a haunting detail, knowing he must have been out there dealing with those powerful forces. I'm also curious if there's ever been any effort since 2011 to re-analyze the weather data from that day. Could newer technology or models provide any additional insights into what happened in those waters? It's been so many years, but understanding the conditions could at least help piece together some parts of Jay's last moments.

More insite as you suggest would be wonderful. I am his youngest daughter, and best friend. None of the things add up from this horrible morning… almost 14yrs later, I’m still looking for him and missing him more than ever.
