Jerome Allen Lamar, known as Phat, was 18 when he vanished from Flint, Michigan, on January 20, 2012. He was last seen by his sister at the DNR Market at Mackin Road and Chevrolet Avenue. Earlier that day a friend had picked him up in a green Ford Explorer; when his sister saw him later he was alone in that same vehicle. Some reports place him near Hurley Medical Center that day.

At the time he went missing Jerome stood about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches and weighed about 150 to 160 pounds. He is a Black male with black hair and brown eyes and has several distinctive tattoos: his mother’s name Tondra on his arm; Rest in Peace Bucks on his shoulder; Toni on his arm or neck; Death before dishonor on his chest; and his daughter’s name Zaynaih on his neck. He was last reported wearing light blue jeans, a black zip-up sweater jacket and a green Pelle Pelle jacket. Family accounts differ about his shoes—green and white Nike Air Max versus black tennis shoes.

The Flint Police Department is handling the investigation. Very little is known about what happened after he was last seen in the green Ford Explorer, and his family continues to seek answers.

If anyone knew Jerome, saw him on January 20, 2012, or has information about the green Ford Explorer, please come forward.
