I’ve been digging into the Abuhamda case, and something that stood out to me is the challenge of international jurisdiction. If Ahmed did take Jannah and her brothers to the Gaza Strip, it’s a whole different ball game in terms of getting them back. Does anyone know how these kinds of international custody disputes are handled between the U.S. and places like Gaza? I’m curious if there’s any precedent or ongoing efforts to bridge the gaps in legal systems. It makes me wonder if that’s a big reason why this case hasn’t seen much movement. Any insights or similar cases would be interesting to hear about!
