It's truly upsetting to read about Officer McDade's passing and the lack of closure for his family. Does anyone have any details about what kind of efforts were made by the Chester City police or other agencies to investigate his case back in the day? It feels like such an injustice that those responsible never faced repercussions. Were there any significant leads that just went cold, or was it mostly a dead-end from the start? I'm curious if advances in forensic science today might offer any hope for bringing some answers to his family, even after all these years. It's important we honor the memory of those who gave everything in service to their community.
