Has anyone else been struck by the bravery Fred Casino showed that day? From what I've read, he wasn't even involved in what was happening; he just stopped to help another person in danger. It's hard not to feel deeply for his family, knowing his life was cut short because he chose to stand up and try to help. Many of us would hope we’d do the same in his shoes, but putting oneself in the line of fire is another level of courage. I wonder if any medals or recognitions were ever given posthumously to honor Casino's heroic act? It seems the least that could be done for someone who paid the ultimate price trying to save another's life. Would love to hear your thoughts or any more details if you have them.
