Has anyone else been following the case of James Boatwright? I recently came across some older articles and couldn't help but feel saddened by the circumstances surrounding his death. It's so tragic to think about what his loved ones went through, especially with such a violent crime. I was particularly struck by the way the court handled the indictment amendment. It seems like such a technicality, yet it completely changed the course of Swint’s trial. It makes me wonder how often legal procedures like this impact cases and what could have been different if the original verdict held up. I’m hoping for some justice, even after all these years, for James and those who cared about him. Would love to hear thoughts on how the legal system can impact the chances of justice being served in similar cases.
