Has anyone looked into the community response or support networks from around the time of Leon Killins' death? It's really troubling how cases can just slip through the cracks without proper acknowledgement. I find it particularly concerning that there isn't more public documentation or community memory of Leon's case in Chester, PA.
There's often a wealth of untapped information in oral histories—family stories, neighbors' recollections, and the general buzz that might have surrounded an event like this in the early '90s. Has anyone from the area ever spoken about how Leon’s death affected the community, or if any local activists or organizations tried to take up his cause back then?
In trying to honor Leon's memory, it feels necessary to understand how his family and friends were supported—or perhaps not—at the time. It breaks my heart thinking about how loved ones might feel as if their pain was forgotten because of the lack of records and public conversation. If anyone has ties to the community or resources that could shed light on this, it might start to piece together parts of the story that have been lost over the decades.
