It's so sad to think about everything Jamar could have been at just 17. He was studying carpentry, a skill that's so valuable and definitely needed, especially in a community like Chester that could really benefit from positive figures and builders. It’s tough to see someone with potential and dreams get caught up in such a tragic cycle of violence. My heart goes out to his family, who are undoubtedly dealing with a complicated mix of loss and pain. This whole situation also makes me think about how we as communities can do better to support our youth and create safer environments where they don’t feel pressured into such destructive paths. This is such a stark reminder that so many young people need more resources and guidance to flourish in positive ways. Sending thoughts of peace and strength to those affected by this case.
