Hi everyone, I've been following Jolesa's case for a while, and something that really stands out to me is how the Perry South community came together afterward. Despite the pain and fear caused by the gang violence, neighbors and friends seemed to rally around Jolesa's family with incredible support. There were vigils and marches, and people were really vocal about wanting safer streets. It's so touching to see a community bond like that during such a terrible time. Does anyone know if there have been any lasting changes or initiatives in the area since then to curb gang violence? It feels like Jolesa's story deserves to have some positive impact if possible. Sending love to her family and hoping they're finding strength in the memories of their daughter.
