I've been thinking a lot about the bravery it takes to go above and beyond the call of duty. Officer Eric Kelly didn’t have to respond that day – he was off-duty, after all. Yet, his instinct to help and protect drove him to take action without hesitation. It really speaks volumes about his character and the kind of person he was, not just as an officer but as a human being. It's such a loss for his family and the community, and I can’t imagine what his loved ones have gone through. His wife and daughters should know that his courage and dedication didn't go unnoticed, and so many people are grateful for his selflessness. The loss of Officer Kelly, along with Officers Mayhle and Sciullo, left a lasting impact, and it reminds us all of the dangers law enforcement officials face every day. Sending thoughts of strength and support to everyone affected by this tragedy.
