Has anyone else found it strange that the woman from the group refuses to share more details about Mauricio's condition before they left him? It makes me wonder if there's something more to her story. Given that she was one of the last people to see him, any bit of information she could offer might be crucial. Maybe she's scared of something, or perhaps there's some other reason she's holding back. The desert conditions and his disoriented state must have been terrifying for him, especially with so little provisions. Crossing the border is dangerous enough without being abandoned. I truly hope someone else from that group can come forward with more details. It's frustrating when people are so close to finding answers but still remain in the dark. Perhaps there's a way to encourage others who were there to share what they know?
Reading through Mauricio Perez Perla's case, I can't help but wonder about the guide who left him behind. Does anyone else find it odd that the guide hasn’t been named or thoroughly investigated? It seems concerning that someone in this essential role could abandon a vulnerable person like that without facing scrutiny. The woman mentioned Mauricio wasn’t in good shape: disoriented and vomiting. You’d think a guide would have protocols in place for such emergencies or at least wait for assistance. Is it possible the guide knows more than they’re letting on, or was there more urgency pressing the group to leave Mauricio behind? These details just don't add up for me. Anybody have insights or experiences with guides in similar situations?
