I’ve been following Lonnie Workman’s case, and one thing that’s been stuck on my mind is the role of witness testimony, especially since there were inconsistencies. It’s got to be tough for witnesses, especially when it involves people they know. I can’t imagine the pressure they’re under. The justice system relies heavily on their accounts, and when they change, it can complicate everything. True, they’re human and might remember things differently under stress, but there's such a heavy cost to getting it wrong. My heart goes out to Lonnie's family, who must have gone through so many emotions with each twist in the case. Cases like this really put a spotlight on the importance of clear, consistent testimonies and how every word can impact the search for justice.
