I recently came across the tragic story of Rastem Mohamed Abubakar and Yasin Ahmed Abdullahi. These two young men lost their lives under such violent circumstances, and it’s incredibly frustrating that their families are still waiting for answers eight years later. I’ve been thinking about what might’ve led to this terrible incident. Were Rastem and Yasin randomly targeted, or was this a case of mistaken identity? It’s so disturbing to know their families have no closure. Sometimes it feels like these unsolved cases just fade into the background, but we can’t let that happen. If anyone in the community knows something—anything—I really hope they find the courage to speak up. No family should have to endure this pain alone. ?

Has anyone else looked into the location where Rastem and Yasin were found? The 2400 block of Portland Avenue South seems kind of busy, right? It's hard to believe that no one saw or heard anything that night. I've wandered around that area a couple of times and it never struck me as the kind of place where this would happen without someone noticing. My heart goes out to their families; it must be so difficult to find closure with so many unanswered questions. I wonder if there's any surveillance footage from nearby businesses or traffic cameras that could offer new clues. If anyone remembers being in the area or knows something, even if it seems small, it could make a huge difference for their loved ones.
