I’ve been thinking about Timothy Davison’s story and it breaks my heart imagining the fear he must have felt that night on Interstate 81. The fact that Timothy made that desperate call to 911, reporting he was being chased and shot at, is a chilling reminder of how quickly life can change. It's tragic that someone so young had to go through something so terrifying. I can’t begin to fathom what his family has endured over these years, waiting for answers and justice amidst such overwhelming grief. I found it compelling how a tip from a couple who knew Strawser became a turning point in the case. It’s sad that it took over a year to get those clues, but it also shows the importance of community cooperation in solving crimes. Kudos to them for stepping forward and providing the information that led to Strawser's arrest. It must have been difficult knowing that something you say could have such significant outcomes, but it's courageous actions like theirs that can eventually bring justice. If there’s one positive takeaway here, it’s that Timothy’s family finally got some closure in 2019. While it doesn’t bring Timothy back, knowing that Strawser is behind bars for life might bring them a small sense of peace. Keeping Timothy’s family in my thoughts as they continue to heal from this tragedy.
