I can't stop thinking about the tragic circumstances surrounding Rendong Zheng's case. It’s so troubling to hear about someone just doing their job, trying to support their family, and having their life cut short like that. The fact that he managed to keep driving after being shot, hoping to maybe make it to safety, speaks volumes about his determination and will to live. It’s truly devastating for his family, who have lost someone they loved due to such senseless violence. It also makes me wonder about the kind of support systems in place for food delivery workers in terms of safety, especially in high-risk areas like Crescentville. Do any of you know if there have been any changes or initiatives since then to help protect delivery drivers in Philly? My heart goes out to Zheng's family, and I hope they’ve found some peace since this horrendous event.
