Such a tragic event, and my heart goes out to all affected by this unfathomable loss. I was reading about the case and couldn't stop thinking about the bravery Barbara Schrum showed. She went to help her friend Laurie in what must have been an incredibly tense situation. To step into such a volatile environment out of loyalty and support for a friend speaks volumes about her character. It's devastating that her courageous act ended in such a horrific way. This case really reminds us of the unpredictable nature of domestic conflicts and the risks involved. My deepest sympathies to the families and friends left to cope with this awful event. They deserve all the support and strength they can get.
