I cannot stop thinking about the impact this incident must have had on their community. Suzanne’s efforts to protect herself and her son by getting a protection-from-abuse order show how desperate the situation had become. I can't even begin to imagine the fear she must have felt, trying to shield herself and her son from harm. It’s just so tragic that it ended this way.

My heart goes out to their friends and family who are left to navigate this unimaginable loss. We must continue to push for change in memory of victims like Suzanne and Eric.
