I've been thinking a lot about the devastating impact that Adel Kobeissi’s murder must have had on his family, particularly given the timing. He had planned this special trip to Florida for his family, scheduled for the very next day. It’s painful to imagine how they went from anticipating a joyful vacation to being plunged into such profound loss and uncertainty. It’s moments like these that underscore just how fragile life can be and how quickly everything can change. Additionally, this case highlights something deeply unsettling about how these crimes seem to target business owners from the Middle Eastern community in Detroit. It's incredibly frustrating and sad to see families, who are working hard and contributing to their communities, live in fear of these senseless acts of violence. I really hope that renewed attention and efforts by the Cold Case Unit might eventually bring some answers not just to Adel's family but to all those who are waiting for justice. ❤️
