Adel Kobeissi, a 50-year-old Lebanese American, was tragically murdered on April 1, 2010, while working at his gas station in Detroit. He was closing the station when he was attacked by a gunman during a robbery attempt. The assailant shot Kobeissi in the head, believing he was carrying a significant amount of cash, but ultimately fled with only loose change.
