I recently came across the case of Michael Thompson Jr., and my heart goes out to his family, especially his nine children and fiancée, Michelle. I can't even imagine the trauma they must be going through. I wanted to talk a bit about the role the Gun Violence Survivors Foundation has played in supporting the family. It's really commendable to see a nonprofit step up the way they have, not just with immediate expenses but thinking ahead with those 529 Savings Plans. Education can be such a crucial part of moving forward, and I sincerely hope that these efforts can ease at least some of the burden. Michael Thompson Sr.'s dedication to keeping his son’s memory alive is incredibly moving. Losing one child is unimaginable, but the strength he shows as he steps up for his family is truly inspiring. It’s these personal stories and community efforts that remind me of the resilience of families facing such tragic circumstances. I think it's important for us to continue to offer our support in any way possible—no family should have to navigate something like this alone. Has anyone heard of any local memorial events or gatherings coming up? I'd love to attend or contribute in some way to show support.
