Has anyone looked into the possibility of someone in the area having tried to help John that afternoon, perhaps not realizing his condition? I know from personal experience that it's not uncommon for well-meaning strangers to offer assistance if they see someone who appears to need help. Given the neighborhood and John's age, maybe someone thought he was lost and tried to take him home or to a nearby location. I'm curious if the police checked any local traffic and CCTV cameras or if they canvassed to see if any passersby might have seen something. It's such a puzzling case and I feel for his family. It just doesn't sit well that no one saw anything, especially during daylight hours. If someone thought they were doing a good deed, it could’ve inadvertently led to something unexpected. Has anyone else run into similar situations on other missing person cases?
