Hi everyone, It's been on my mind lately how deeply the community has come together in the wake of Richard Lewis Jr.'s tragic death. I wasn't close with Richard, but I attended the vigil, and the love and support there were truly moving. It's clear that he touched many lives in his short time here. One moment that still stands out to me was seeing Richard Sr. speaking so passionately about the need for change. It must be incredibly painful for him, yet he's out there urging for solutions and peace. His courage is inspiring. I hope his words spark some action because what happened to Richard should never happen to anyone else. I wonder if anyone here might have ideas or know of programs in Philly that are actively working on reducing violence? Maybe there's a way some of us can help support these efforts in Richard’s memory. Thanks for letting me share. My heart goes out to all those who knew and loved Richard. Stay safe, everyone.

I've been thinking a lot about the vigil for Richard Lewis Jr. It was evident just how many lives he touched and the void that's left in the community now. Seeing his family and friends gather, surrounded by candles and photos, really brought home the need for change. It's not just about remembering Richard, but also about finding ways to prevent this from happening again. The outcry from Richard's father, urging an end to gun violence, couldn't be more important. It's frustrating that there hasn't been much progress in the investigation, but I hope the community’s support helps push for answers and justice. Anyone else been to a vigil that moved them or felt like it could be that turning point for action?
