I've been thinking a lot about the role social media played in the tragic death of Lezra Rice. It’s incredibly sad how a Facebook conversation can lead to such devastating consequences. It’s a reminder of how quickly the online world can spill over into real life with irreversible effects. As a society, I feel we need to have more discussions about how young people interact online and the pressures they might face. My heart goes out to Lezra's family and friends, and I hope we can learn something from this senseless tragedy to prevent it from happening again. Hug your loved ones tight and stay safe out there.

I was reading about Lezra Rice's case and got caught up in thinking about the impact on his school community. We often talk about the victim and suspect in these tragedies, but what really hit me this time was imagining the shockwave it must have sent through Propel Braddock Hills High School. I can't even begin to imagine what his classmates and teachers went through, losing someone they saw every day and interacted with. It sounds like the administration did the right thing by bringing in grief counselors, but it must have been such a difficult time for everyone. It's a stark reminder of how these incidents don't just affect those directly involved but ripple out to touch so many lives. Sending thoughts to them all as they continue to navigate this loss.
