Hi everyone,
I've been following Jerry Alston's case and something that's been on my mind is the person of interest they mentioned. The surveillance footage from McDonald's shows this older man with a white beard, but being seen in a light-colored SUV seems to be the only lead. It's puzzling how, even with this information, the case remains unsolved after all these years.
I wonder if there's more to the connection between Jerry and this individual. The lack of forced entry really makes me think that Jerry might have felt safe letting this person in, whoever they are. It's just so frustrating to think how a friend or acquaintance could be involved in something so horrific.
My thoughts are with Jerry's family, especially his daughter. It must be incredibly hard for them to carry on without answers. I hope the community can come together to turn over any stone they might have overlooked. Let's keep sharing whatever we can in these forums—sometimes the smallest detail can lead to a breakthrough.
Stay safe and take care,

I can’t stop thinking about the surveillance images released by the police. Has anyone seen the pictures of the older man with the white beard at the McDonald's? It just makes me wonder how no one's come forward if they recognize him or his vehicle by now. Maybe it's just my imagination, but with a description that specific, you’d think someone would have an idea about this person, especially in a place like Penn Hills where so many folks know each other.
It’s incredibly sad and frustrating to see Jerry's family still seeking answers after all this time. I can't imagine the pain his daughter must feel, growing up without her dad and not having justice for him. It's such a poignant reminder of the need for community support and vigilance in helping out with cases like these. If anybody in this forum has any theories or thoughts on what might've happened that night, please share. The more eyes and ears on this case, the better. Every small detail could help bring some measure of peace to Jerry's family.
I’ve been following Jerry Alston’s case for some time, and I keep thinking about the person of interest seen at the McDonald's. The surveillance images show an older African American man with a distinctive white beard. It’s baffling that, despite such a clear description, the individual still hasn’t been identified. Do you think it’s possible this person lives outside of Penn Hills, or maybe even Pittsburgh? It’s agonizing to imagine the frustration his family must be feeling, trying to move forward while still waiting for answers. I really hope someone who knows this person comes forward soon. The vigil held for Jerry was a poignant reminder of how much he was loved and missed. His family and little daughter deserve justice and peace. Let’s keep sharing these details in case it reaches the right ears. Has anyone else noticed any patterns in similar cases where the suspects also seem to be elusive? Would love to hear thoughts or ideas on how communities can help ease this process for families going through such terrible times.
