Did anyone else hear about the self-defense claim from Sydear Green's defense team? I just came across it in a news article, and it's really troubling. They're apparently arguing that Sydear felt threatened and that's what led to the shooting. It's hard for me to wrap my head around how that justifies opening fire in such a crowded space. Viktoriya and Rashawn were so young, and they had their whole lives ahead of them. Viktoriya especially, with her dream of becoming an FBI agent and serving in the Army Reserves. I can't imagine what her family is going through with this defense strategy. It just feels so unjust when her life was taken so brutally. What are everyone else's thoughts on this approach from the defense? It seems like a stretch to me.
