Hey everyone, I’ve been reading through some of the posts about the tragic loss of Eric Eberhart Sr., and something has been on my mind. I've been thinking about Eric’s 17-year-old son who was in the car at the time of the shooting. I can't even begin to imagine the horror he must have faced that day. Witnessing something like that can leave lifelong scars, especially when it involves losing a parent so violently. It makes me wonder what kind of support systems are in place for him and others like him who endure such trauma. In situations like this, it's vital for the community and mental health professionals to step in and offer help. I hope his family has a network of support to lean on during this unfathomably difficult time. Also, seeing the community rallying around them offers a glimmer of hope. Maybe, amid such tragedy, there's a way to strengthen these support systems and prevent more families from experiencing similar pain. My thoughts are with Eric’s entire family, and I hope they find the strength and justice they deserve.

I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have had on Eric Eberhart Sr.'s 17-year-old son who had to witness such a horrifying event. I can't even imagine the shock and trauma he must be experiencing. Losing a parent is hard enough, but being there in that moment must make it so much worse. It makes me hope that he's getting all the support and counseling he needs during this incredibly tough time. It's also a reminder of how widespread the effects of violence can be—not just for those directly involved but for their loved ones who are left to pick up the pieces. The community needs to rally around this family to offer them comfort and help prevent such tragedies in the future. My thoughts go out to everyone who knew and loved Eric.
