It's been over five years since Daevion Raines was taken from us, and each passing day without justice feels like a step further away from closure for his family and friends. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. Something I find deeply disturbing is the fact that the car involved was reported stolen just two days before the shooting. Could there be more to this story than a random act of violence? Were the occupants of the car targeted, and if so, why aren't there more leads? It’s especially unsettling that other individuals in the vehicle fled the scene—were they potential suspects, witnesses, or victims just trying to get away? Daevion deserved so much more than to be caught up in this madness. I hope anyone with information will find it in their heart to come forward and help bring some peace to his mom, Shanena, who has shown incredible strength in keeping his memory alive through her foundation. Sending thoughts to Daevion's family as they continue their fight for justice.
Has anyone else been following the community response to Daevion Raines's tragic case? It's been truly touching to see how people in Duquesne have rallied around his family and "Daevion's Place of Resilience." I recently came across a local event they organized, where kids and families gathered for an afternoon of games and workshops about conflict resolution and supporting each other. It seems like a beautiful way to honor Daevion and help prevent more senseless violence in the area. It's inspiring to see how his mother, Shanena Lewis, is turning her grief into a force for positive change, providing a much-needed safe space for young people. I really hope that this foundation continues to grow and make a meaningful impact in the community. It's heartbreaking that this is the circumstance, but Daevion's legacy of resilience is truly shining through his mom's efforts. Would love to hear if anyone else here has attended any events or has been involved with the foundation?
I've been following Daevion Raines' case, and something that's really stuck with me is the strength and resilience of his mother, Shanena Lewis. It's so moving to see how she's channeling her grief into something that can potentially prevent other families from experiencing this kind of pain. "Daevion's Place of Resilience" is such a powerful name for the foundation, and it speaks volumes about her dedication to creating a safer community for kids in Duquesne. It must be incredibly difficult to face each day knowing that justice hasn't been served, yet she continues to push forward for positive change. Her advocacy is not only a testament to her love for Daevion but also an inspiration for others affected by violence. I truly hope that answers and justice come soon for Daevion and his family. The whole community feels the loss, and they deserve closure.
