Hey everyone, I was reading through some of the tributes and stories shared by those who knew David Rosenthal, and one thing that really stood out to me was his infectious laughter and the warmth that seemed to radiate from him. It's clear that David had a unique ability to make others feel welcome and included. Multiple people mentioned how he always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he encountered at Goodwill Industries and within the Tree of Life congregation. David's love for Shabbat services was well-known, and it's painful to think that the very place he found joy and community was where his life was so cruelly taken. It's important to remember personal stories like his amidst all the headlines. It's these glimpses into his life and the love he shared with his community that remind us of the personal loss his friends and family have suffered. It’s comforting to know that his memory continues to inspire acts of kindness and bring awareness to the need for greater understanding and acceptance. If anyone else has more stories or memories of David they'd like to share, I'd love to hear them. It’s through these stories that his spirit can continue to shine.
