I can’t stop thinking about the community's role in tragedies like what happened with Anibal DeJesus. It’s so upsetting to read about such senseless violence, especially on a night that’s supposed to symbolize new beginnings. What really struck me in this case is how crucial community involvement is. Philly has so many dedicated people doing their best in tough situations, but the reality is that they can't do it alone. I really feel for Anibal’s family and friends during this time. Imagine how hard it must be for them to not only deal with the loss but also the frustration of an unsolved case. If anyone in the Kensington area has even the smallest piece of information, it can make such a difference. Sharing what you know, even anonymously, might be the key to help police crack this case. We can’t bring Anibal back, but we can hope for justice and closure for those left behind. Let's keep the conversation going and support efforts to reduce violence in our communities.
It's been over four years since Anibal DeJesus's devastating murder, and I'm still baffled by how this case hasn't moved forward. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through, not having any answers or justice for him. It's especially frustrating to think that two men could attack him with such violence and then just vanish without a trace, despite there being witnesses and surveillance footage.
I often wonder about the role of illegal drugs that the police chief mentioned. Could it have been a deal gone wrong, or maybe something personal? It's scary to think about what might have led to such a brutal loss of life. If anyone reading this was in the area that night or has heard anything, please speak up. Anibal deserves justice, and his family needs closure. Let's not let this case fade into obscurity.
I just can't believe the audacity of these guys roaming around and pulling something like this right after the New Year started. It's heart-wrenching to think Anibal DeJesus never even got a chance to see 2019 properly for even a day. I was reading about how he was attacked by two different people that night—it just seems so calculated. It frustrates me that we're still in the dark about who these shooters were. Considering there’s surveillance footage, you’d hope we’d have a lead by now. It's unsettling how violence like this keeps going unchecked. I seriously hope someone with information comes forward soon. Anibal and his family deserve closure and peace. If there's anything anyone might know, contacting the authorities is really important.
