I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighbor’s perspective on this tragedy. It’s such a heavy thing to process, especially for people who lived so close to Nightflower and her son. Can you imagine realizing that the family you exchanged small talk with in the hallway was going through such turmoil? I read that the building owner thought they seemed happy, which just goes to show how much we sometimes don't see beneath the surface. My heart goes out to everyone in that apartment building and the wider community. It’s a chilling reminder to check in on those around us and look out for warning signs, even when things might seem fine from the outside. Sending love to all who are mourning in Middletown.
