I've been thinking a lot about George McCormick and the terrifying ordeal his wife went through. It's unimaginable to picture her pleading for help, locked away in that bathroom. Having your home – a place of safety and comfort – violated in such a brutal way must be earth-shattering for her. My heart goes out to Mrs. McCormick and the entire family. So many lives were torn apart that night without any reason. I'm also left wondering about the factors in Witmer's life that led to such a senseless act of violence. What could possibly push someone to such an extreme? I'm sure many others in the community are struggling to find answers as well. It’s so hard to accept that sometimes there aren’t any. Just really hoping for some healing and peace for all those affected.
Has anyone else been thinking about the bravery of George McCormick's wife during this terrifying situation? I've been following the tragic events surrounding the State College shooting, and I find myself wondering about Nicole Abrino, the young woman who was wounded at PJ Harrigan's. It must be incredibly difficult for her, not only physically with her recovery but also emotionally dealing with the aftermath of such a traumatic event. My heart goes out to her and her family.
