I’ve been following the James Chambers case, and can’t stop thinking about the whole truck situation with Howard Ashleman. It baffles me that the guy would sell the vehicle so soon after the disappearance. I mean, what’s the urgency in getting rid of your truck unless you’re trying to erase something? It seems like such a glaring red flag. For someone to go from being a co-worker giving a ride to prime suspect really makes you think about who you trust. Even now, with the confession, the lack of a body keeps this in a weird limbo. Does anyone else think there might be more to the story? Or maybe something overlooked with that truck?

Can anyone recall if there were any other witnesses or people around when Ashleman gave Chambers a ride to run errands that day? I know that Ashleman's confession came much later, but I find it odd that there aren't any other accounts from that day aside from Ashleman's. It seems like there might have been an opportunity for others to have seen them during their stops, especially places like check-cashing or liquor stores, which usually have staff and other customers around. Plus, those locations often have security cameras. Maybe there's a chance some footage still exists that could provide additional clues about Chambers' last known locations. Even though Ashleman is behind bars, digging into these details might bring some comfort to the family, knowing more about his last hours. Just my thoughts as I dive deeper into the case. Anyone else have theories on this?

Has anyone come across any detailed info about Howard Ashleman's phone records from that day? I find it really strange how phone pings can contradict someone's alibi. It's baffling to think how technology can play such a crucial role in these investigations. Was there any mention of where his phone was located during James' last known whereabouts? Such a tough case for the family, not having any closure without the remains. Details like these might provide a better picture of what truly happened, and maybe help bring some of the missing pieces together for everyone involved. It’s just so unsettling not having all the answers.
