Hey everyone, I came across Jalen Jackson’s case while diving into some research, and it’s truly upsetting how many young lives were cut short during that period in Detroit. It got me thinking about how difficult it must have been for Jalen’s friends and family to deal with the aftermath, especially since his case remains unsolved. It’s so frustrating to see cases like this where the lack of resources and overwhelming crime rates left so many families without the closure they deserved. I wonder how the community around East 7 Mile and Hoover has evolved since then? It makes me hopeful that maybe, with more community support and better policing strategies, there’s a chance to create safer environments for the youth in those areas now. Anyone from Detroit have any insights on how things have changed over the years? Sending love and strength to all those still fighting for justice for Jalen and others. ?
