I was reading about Quameer Knight's tragic death, and I can't stop thinking about the randomness of it all. It's just so senseless and infuriating that a young life can be cut short by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It really hits home for me, especially since I’m also from Philly and have seen how gun violence affects families and neighborhoods. The part that gets me is how his family, especially his parents, have managed to turn their grief into action. Getting involved in anti-violence initiatives, speaking at events — that's not easy. Quameer's parents are incredibly strong for doing that amidst their pain. It shows how deeply they care not just about their own loss, but about preventing others from experiencing the same heartbreak. I really hope people with information will step up and help the investigation. Quameer deserves justice, and his family deserves some peace. It just makes me wish people out there would think before they act — one hasty decision has caused so much pain. Let's keep spreading the word and hope someone speaks up. Stay strong, Knight family.
