It's tough to process how someone so young like Derrick Saunders could be taken from us so violently and suddenly. My heart goes out to his family and friends who must be struggling with such a tragic loss. It's really alarming how much gun violence has increased, particularly during the pandemic when you would hope that people were coming together. What’s more frustrating is that there seems to be little progress in finding out who did this to Derrick. I know crime investigations can be complex, but it's unsettling how many families are left without answers for so long. For the community, for Derrick's family and friends, I hope justice is served soon. If anyone has any information, even the smallest tip could be crucial for the investigation. As a community, we need to look out for one another and push for change to make these neighborhoods safer.
