It's just so unsettling that someone like Thomas could be taken in such a violent and unexpected way. I can't imagine what his family and friends must be going through right now. It seems like the community is really feeling the loss. A lot of folks in West Mifflin are saying that Thomas was always the kind of guy who'd lend a helping hand. Knowing that this happened so close to home, outside an apartment where so many families live, must make it even harder for everyone involved. What’s really been on my mind is how these situations seem to develop out of nowhere. The fact that Wiggins was still in possession of a firearm despite his past conviction is alarming. It brings up questions about how someone with a known violent history could have access to a gun. We really need to look at how these weapons are getting into the hands of people who shouldn't have them. It’s such a complex issue, but it’s clear that something's got to change to prevent more tragedies like this. My heart goes out to everyone involved, and I hope we get some answers and justice soon.
