I’ve been thinking a lot about the second victim in the Justin Gomez case. While the focus has been understandably on finding justice for Justin and his family, I can’t help but wonder about the survivor who was also injured that night. It must be terrifying not only to have been injured but also to deal with the trauma of the event itself. I hope they are receiving the care and support they need to recover both physically and emotionally. Additionally, the survivor might hold crucial information that could help lead to whoever committed this crime. I imagine it’s a huge weight to carry, knowing you might hold some pieces of this puzzle. I truly hope they feel safe coming forward with anything they know, without fear. It's just so sad to see such a vibrant life like Justin’s taken away so senselessly. My heart goes out to his loved ones, and I hope we see justice served soon. Any step closer to solving this will be a reminder that the community stands with them. If anyone knows something or even hears a rumor, I urge you to reach out to the authorities. Every little bit helps.
