Has anyone else been pondering the role of GPS trackers in these tragic situations? I was reading about the tragic case of Matthew Bowersox and how Christopher Fernanders tracked Heather Campbell with a GPS device. It's so unsettling to think about how technology, which is supposed to make our lives easier, can be used in such a malicious way. I can't imagine the fear Heather must have felt knowing she was being watched.
This case really highlights the urgent need for stricter regulations on the use of such devices. It's devastating when the tools that can be used to protect or navigate get twisted into ones for harm. My heart goes out to the families involved in this tragedy. It's a grim reminder of the lengths to which some will go—and how we need to stay vigilant, not just for technology's advancements, but for the potential misuse of those advancements. What do others think could be done to prevent situations like this from happening again?
